  • 5. The same security rules apply for online banking via smartphone or tablet as for on a PC (updates, AV protection, etc.).
  • 6. Online banking should only be done on your own or trustworthy devices.
  • 7. Avoid online banking via open or insecure Wi-Fi, e.g. in cafés or hotels.
  • 8. For banking, make sure there is a secure Internet connection.
  • 9. When you access your bank account, make sure that nobody is looking over your shoulder.
  • 10. Focus on data minimization and avoid inputting your bank details unnecessarily.
  • 11. If in doubt, contact your bank first.
